Another chapter of "Pet tales: Friday edition". This is where we give you a bit of an insight as to how we use your donations. We couldn't do what we do without the generosity of ALL OF YOU!

"Kitten Season" is typically in the spring, that being said we receive kittens all year long. A healthy female cat can potentially give birth to three litters per year, each containing up to 12 kittens. Because cats are such fertile breeders, ONE SINGLE UNSPAYED FEMALE can produce 20,000 descendants over just five years. OH MY GOODNESS, THAT'S A LOT OF CATS! Please spay and neuter.

For 2023, our total kitten intake sat around 400. Our total cat intake sat around 300. (We are beyond thankful for our super-duper kitten foster families that help with this burden). That intake meant 700 SPAY AND NEUTERS, 700 sets of vaccines, 700 or more vet visits, plus food and litter, beds, laundry.... you get the idea! That is a huge amount of kitties that are put under our care. Your donations make some of this care possible.

Thus far we have adopted out around 650 cats/kittens for 2023. That's pretty cool!

As a side note the intake of 700 is much lower than our number in the past years. That is also pretty cool and we are thankful for it!

Please donate to help us care for all the animals that come thru our doors. you can text SAMMIE to 41444 or hit the donate button below.
