NEUTERING Nevada
County pet owners can get a certificate to reduce the cost of
spaying and neutering their pets. Save $60 for a female
dog, $40 for a male dog, $30 for a female cat, and $15 for a
male cat. Certificates
are available at the Nevada County Animal Shelter, and are good
at any vet. Please
be a responsible pet owner and save animals' lives by spaying or
neutering your pet. |

Zumba Dance Party and Fundraiser ~

To
support Sammie's Friends and the animals of Nevada County, the Alternative Fitness Center of
Penn Valley is hosting a Zumba dance party fundraiser from 10
AM to 1 PM on Saturday, September 18 at Western Gateway
Park Pavilion Stage in Penn Valley.
Zumba
instructors from Grass Valley, Penn Valley, and Yuba City will
lead the dance party. Participation is free. For

September 20, 2010 from 5 to 8 PM, Mountain Mike's Pizza
will donate 15% of profits to Sammie's Friends. Come for
dinner and bring your friends! Mountain Mike's is
located at 151-D West McKnight Way in Grass Valley (near SPD).

Friends is always looking for people who have the time, energy
and ideas to put a fundraiser together to raise funds for the
animals. These events are important to raise funds and
as a way to participate in the community. If you have an
