   April and Rob Roy

(Press Play button on the left if video does not start automatically.)

April, who appears first in this video, is an American Bulldog who came to the Nevada County Animal Shelter as a stray dog after having puppies.  She was very afraid, but is getting better.  Certified dog trainer Mark Lenci of K9 One/One comes to the shelter once a week and works with dogs like April to make them more adoptable.  Cheryl Wicks of Sammie's Friends works with Mark, and working together, the dogs do become more adoptable.

The other dog in the video clip, Rob Roy, is also a shelter dog.  He is being used to socialize April with another dog.  Both April and Rob Roy are available for adoption at the Nevada County Animal Shelter, 14647 McCourtney Road, Grass Valley, CA.  Phone 530-273-2179.

"Oh, the Vicious Pits!"

Turo the Pit Bull was adopted by this young man as a playmate for his other pit bull.  My, oh my, don't they look vicious?  They're having a good time together.  There is nothing more fun than watching two pit bulls play together.  They are very animated creatures.  If you've ever met one you'll fall in love.
